Active Coaching UK
http://www.activecoachinguk.co.uk/7.html
Working alongside other partners such as the CTC and the Primary Care Trust, Active Coaching UK is helping to develop and promote cycling within the Bradford Area, not just as a sport or pastime, but also as a alternative means of transport. This development includes delivering activities such as Bike Ability and holiday schemes. Other activities arranged are family and improver rides aimed at showing new riders where they can cycle and also helping to build confidence on the bike. Alongside the delivery of sessions, the development includes opening up access to cycling by creating route maps in the local area and a bradford wide leaflet showing what is going on. I am also helping to create a series of maps within each of the Bradford districts to give beginner riders an idea of where they can ride.

To encourage thousands of Bradfordians to jump on their bike when undertaking local (2 miles or under) journeys, rather than slumping in their cars. 50% of car journeys in Bradford are of 2 miles or less.
